INFORMATION OF KYOTO

Kyoto was the old residential area of the Royal Family, that is, the capital of Japan, for more than a thousand years from 794 to 1869 when modern Japan was elected. The conference site, Niijima Kaikan of Doshisha University is located in the heart of Kyoto next to the Imperial Palace. Numerous historic temples, shrines etc. are open to public. The city is served by the express trains from Osaka Kansai International Airport (75min) and by Shinkansen trains from Tokyo (137min).
